The thickness of the common base is 50 mm or more and a size of the anchor bolt of M20 or larger is recommended. Affix the manipulator by fastening the plate with the eight M20 (mm) anchor bolts. The plate is tapped for M20 (90 mm length) bolts. Tighten the bolts and anchor bolts securely so that they will not work loose during operation. See the figure Affixing the manipulator on the floor for the method.3.2.B When the manipulator is mounted directly on the floorThe floor should be strong enough to support the manipulator. Construct a solid foundation with the appropriate thickness to withstand maximum repulsion forces of the manipulator as shown in the table Maximum repulsion forde of the mani- pulator. As a rough standard, when there is a concrete thickness (floor) of 200 mm or more, the base of the manipulator can be fixed directly to the floor with M20 anchor bolts. Before mounting the manipulator, however, check that the floor is level and that all cracks, etc. are repaired. Any thickness less than 200 mm is insufficient for mounting, even if the floor is concrete.Fig.4 Mounting the manipulator baseplateSpring washerWasher8xM20 BoltsManipulator baseCommon baseOut of plane: 0.5 mm or less
