Operation Manual (Advanced Function) 3-3 3-2 Selecting the typ e of cartesian coordinate system < Outline > There are two (2) kinds of cartesian coordinate systemsin manual operation: namely a relative
coordinate sytem and an absolute coordinate system.
Relative : Cartesian coordinate system rotates relative to the RT axis. Absolute :                                       Cartesian coordinate system is fixed regardless of robot attitude.
They are switchable during teaching operation.
< Operation procedure > (1)   Set the TEACH ENABLE to the ON state. (2)   Press the MENU 2 MENU “menu” key. ® The screen on the right appears. (3)   Move ther cursor to either “Crtsian mov” Rel. (relative) or Abs. (Absolute), and press the ENTER   “enter” key. (The selected item is inverted.) (4)   Press the   END   “end” key.   Tool        =  1   Wrist Cal   =  0       Crtsian mov (Rel. Abs.)   UserC-sys   =  0   [OPR SEL]->Change menu content Teaching   P  1 *Menu select* 1/1 < Remarks > The initial set values are resumed when the TEACH ENABLE is turned OFF.
The initial set values refer to the values set in the ”Init.set”-“Advanced function”-“Crtsian mov (Rel.
Abs.)” screen.
