Useful Functions (2) 8-10 8-4 Stick release ( ) < Outline > A function which functions when the arc stick is detected after the completion of the arc welding
operation.  It detaches the torch from the base metal automatically by newly turning ON the
welding switch.
< Setting procedure > (1)   From the initial screen, select “Init.set”, “Adv- func” and press ENTER  ”enter” key. (2)   Select “Stick release” and move the cursor to         “SET-UP” and press ENTER  ”enter” key.
(3)   Move the corsor to the “Yes” of “Stick release”
        and press  ENTER  ”enter” key.
(4)   Input values for individual items.
Init.set:    Adv-func Stick release (No Yes) Page next    Page back    SET-UP Init.set:    Adv-func 1    Using A-E-S No.   = 1 2 Weld current = 100 A 3 Weld voltage =   20.0 V 4 Release time = 0.3 s 5 Wait un-stick = 0.5 s 6 Retract wire (Yes    No) Stick release 1 Using A-E-S No. [1-5] :  Sets the arc end sequence No. to store this stick release function in. 2 Welding current [1-350] :  Sets the welding condition to fuse the wire. 3 Weld voltage [1.0-50.0] :  Sets the welding condition to fuse the wire. 4 Release time T1 [0.0-9.9] :  Sets the wire fusing time. 5 Wait un-stick T2 [0.1-9.9] :  Sets the time from when the welding operation has completed to when the stick check starts. 6 Retract wire :  When “Yes” is selected, welding wire is retracted about 2,3 mm at the time of stick check. < Supplements > · Stick check sequence should be stored in AES. · Inappropriate setting of welding conditions for wire fusion may cause to stick the wire to the
tip or fail to unstick the wire.
® In case of sticking of the tip, increase the welding current set value. ® In case that this stick release doesn’t work, increase the welding voltage set value.
