Useful Functions (2) 8-22 < Definition of shift coordinate system > (1) Robot coordinate system Z direction X direction Y direction When “Cartsn” is selected as shift coordinate
system, teaching points are shifted along the
X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis on the Cartesian
coordinate system of the robot as per shown in
the figure on the left.
(2) Tool coordinate system X direction Z direction Y direction:
a direction away from the
document toward you.
When “Tool” is selected as shift coordinate
system, teaching points are shifted along the
X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis on the tool coordinate
system as per shown in the figure on the left.
If the tool No. is changed in the program, the
tool No. effective to the step to be shifted is
applied.
(Example)
3  MOVEL   TOOL1
4  MOVEL   TOOL2
5 ¥MOVEL   AJO
6  MOVEL   CJO
To shift the step 5 or 6, the tool coordinate
system of the tool No.2 is applied.
