Appendix A. Error/Alarm App.- 16 A-6. Lithium battery error This robot uses battery (lithium battery) to retain encoder data (encoder = a device to store
position of each axis of the manipulator).
Service life of the battery varies with operating environment, however, it is recommended to
replace with a new one at every two years (normal operation of 10 hr./day). If the voltage of the
lithium battery becomes low, the following error message appears. If the message on the right appears when
power is turned ON, contact our service
department for check as soon as possible,

teaching or edit operation. ·    Normal operation (10h/day) is based on 10 hours operation per day for 30 days per month. If the operating hour is shorter than the normal hour, the battery supply may be consumed faster,
therefore, the service life of the battery may be shortened. For the details refer to the
instruction manual of the applied mode. ·    Continuous use of the robot over a long period may reduce the service life of the battery. Be sure to consult our service office prior to use the robot for 24 hours continuously if it is the
case.
