| 1|6 | 1-3. Cautions in case of using the controller for welding Caution Use Shielding  curtain  or the  equivalents  to protect  yourself  and
people  involved  from  arc  flash,  flying  spatter,  slugs,  and  noise
generated during welding.
* The arc flash can cause eye inflammation and skin burn. * The spatter ans slugs generated during welding can cause eye injuryies
and burns.
* The noise generated by welding can cause hearing problem. 1. Install a protective curtain around the welding manipulator site to prevent the arc flash from     entering the eyes of people in the surrounding area.
2. When  welding  or  monitoring  welding  work,  wear  glasses  with  sufficient  light  blocking
performance or use a protective mask designed for welding operation.    Wear protective
leather gloves desinged for welding operation, long-sleeve shirts, leg cover and leather
apron.
Warning Use  protective  gear  or  exhaust  system  to  protect  yourself  and
people involved from fume and gas generated during welding.
* Inhalation of the fume and gas generated during welding is hazardous
to health.
* Welding conducted in a tight area can result in oxygen deficiency, and
cause suffocation.
1. To prevent gas poisoning and suffocation by the gas generated during welding, use a loca     exhauster specified by the applicable law, or wear protective breathing gear.
2. To  prevent  dust  injury  or  poisoinig  by  the  fume  generated  during  welding,  use  a  loca
exhauster specified by the applicable law, or wear protective breathing gear
3. When conducting welding work in the bottom of the tank, boiler or hold, be sure to provide
sufficient ventilation or wear protective breathing gear.    Gas heavier than air generated
during welding, such as carbon dioxide gas or argon gas settles in the bottom if conducted

in such area.
4. When conducting welding work in a tight space, be sure to provide sufficient ventilation or
wear protective breathing gear and have a trained supervisor observe the workers.
5. Do not conduct welding at a site where degreasing, cleaning or spraying work is performed.
Conducting  welding  near  the  area  where  any  of  these  types  of  work  is  performed  can
    generate harmful gases.
6. When  welding  a  coated  steel  plate,  provide  sufficient  ventilation  or  wear  protective
breathing gear.    (Welding of coated steel plates generates harmful fume and gas.)
